HAVE YOUR OWN KART?
An easy drive from anywhere in Southern California, K1 Circuit spans across 27 acres located off the 215 in Winchester.
K1 Circuit is a 1.1-mile, 16-turn, world-class race track built by industry professionals with meticulous emphasis on safety and usability.
We offer customers who own a racing kart the ability to practice and test year-round. Please see our Requirements below. We also offer a number of storage options if you would prefer to keep your kart at the track, with everything from stands, to lockers, to complete team garages. Turn-key service is also available. With a simple phone call we can have your kart pulled, serviced and ready to race when you arrive.
Open practice for kart owners is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday & Sunday, rain or shine. We are open 7 days a week but my be closed for an event. Please verify on our Calendar page prior to scheduling for open practice.
ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 24: OPEN PRACTICE FROM 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Each open practice session lasts 15 minutes – time may vary depending on any kart retrievals needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Kart owners must meet a dB noise limit that is measured from a set ‘sound station’ with an industry-standard measuring device.
- 2-stroke kart engine noise limit: 95dB
- 4-stroke kart engine noise limit: 85dB
Airboxes are mandatory for all 2-stroke engines. Air filters by themselves are not allowed because of noise restrictions.
There is no set tech inspection that karts must pass. However, K1 Circuit reserves the right to deny entry onto the track if a kart is deemed unsafe, too loud, or has the potential to damage the track surface.
Kart owners must have gloves, close-toed shoes, and a homologated kart racing suit in order to use our facilities. Racers under the age of 16 years old must wear a neck brace. Kart owners are responsible for their own safety gear at K1 Circuit – we do not rent or lend out safety gear to kart owners. Shirts must be worn at all times – no exceptions.

TRACK LAYOUT
The track layout used for open practice is usually the Pro Track layout. Occasionally, we’ll run a unique track layout ahead of professional events. If this is the case, we’ll mention the track directly below.
A NOTE ABOUT WEEKEND PRACTICE
Weekends tend to be the busiest days for K1 Circuit because of our three racing options: Arrive & Drive, Group Events, and Open Practice.
If you plan to run a kid kart during open practice on the weekends, please let our front desk know before your visit so we can accommodate you.
At K1 Circuit, we strive to give everyone as much track time as possible. However, on weekends, kart owners can expect to receive a maximum of five 15-minute practice sessions for the day.
On weekdays, we may be able to accommodate 6+ sessions, time allowing.
Signed waivers are required for all racers.
K1 Circuit General Facility Rules
- No smoking or vaping on the property.
- Wristbands are required in the facility at all times.
- Tarps or mats are mandatory under every kart in the paddock area to catch excess fuel & oil. Failure to comply may result in a $150 fine.
- No bikes, skateboards, scooters, or any other motorized/human-powered vehicles on facility grounds.
- All karts must pass the 95 DB test for noise requirements on track.
- No staking or screwing of fasteners into the asphalt anywhere on the property.
- No overnight camping at K1 Circuit.
- Pedestrian traffic only through the breezeway – no karts or kart stands.
- No pets are allowed except service animals; emotional support animals are not allowed. Service animals that perform an active function are allowed on K1 Circuit grounds and can go wherever their handler is credentialed to go, except for the pits. Service animals are never allowed in the pits.
- Alcohol is strictly prohibited until racing has concluded
- Any foul language or bad behavior will result in you being asked to leave.
- K1 Circuit is a cashless business: only credit or debit cards are accepted.
- Racers must take used tires, fuel cans, and any large boxes with them. Leaving these items at K1 Circuit or disposing of them in our trash cans/dumpsters is strictly prohibited and may result in a $150 fine.
- Drivers are prohibited from walking the track without authorization. Any driver who walks the track without authorization will be asked to leave the premises.
- All pit areas must have a fire extinguisher.
- Drones are strictly prohibited unless you’ve received written consent from K1 Circuit
- Hours of Operation: 9am to 9pm daily (Rentals run all day, from open to close; Open Practice: 9am-4pm on Tues-Sun)
- Everyone must sign in and receive a wristband – spectators included.
- Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians to fill out the waiver.
- A K1 Circuit License is required to go on track.
- All licenses, gift cards, and races are per person, and non-transferable with K1 Speed.
- Vehicles, trailers, and tents must fit inside designated parking/pit spots.
- Parking outside of designated zones is prohibited; roads/fire lanes must stay clear.
- No bikes, skateboards, scooters, golf carts or any other human-powered / motorized vehicles (including karts) in the parking areas.
- Alcohol is strictly prohibited during the hours the track and paddock are hot with karts on course. When races are finished for the day, you can enjoy K1 Circuit’s Paddock Lounge.
- Please understand for safety concerns, if you are dangerous on the track, can’t achieve an adequate lap time, or for any other related issues, you may be asked to park for the day.
- “Follow-the-leader” sessions allowed only by qualified personnel, and in the correct sessions. These privileges may be revoked for safety reasons if the instructor is deemed unqualified. Instructors must be approved in advance.
- No overnight camping at K1 Circuit. The paddock area must be cleared by 9pm.
- All Karts must pass the 95 DB test for noise on track. If non-compliant you will be asked to fix the issue before taking the track again. This includes any generators in the paddock
- Airboxes are mandatory for all 2-stroke engines. Air filters by themselves are not allowed because of noise restrictions.
- All pit spots require a tarp under the kart on the ground to catch excess fuel, oil, cleaners, or chain lube in the paddock. Non-compliance after the first warning may result in a $150 fine.
- No fuel storage at the track or paddock.
K1 Circuit race gear requirements:
- Arrive and Drive (rental kart) racers must wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and gloves. Full-face helmets and suits are always available to borrow. You can use your own DOT or higher rated helmet, however no open-faced, or motocross helmets/goggles are allowed.
- Kart owners must wear a full abrasion-resistant karting suit, closed-toe shoes, a full-face SNELL-approved helmet, and racing gloves. Neck collars and rib vests with a chest protector are mandatory for any driver under 16 years old and/or in the kid kart and cadet categories, with neck collars required for Juniors.
